We are, unfortunately, at a time of separation.
"You say life is a dream where we can't say what we mean
Maybe just some roadside scene that we're driving past
There's no telling where we'll be in a day or in a week
And there's no promises of peace or of happiness"Everybody's going somewhere.
I'll be working in Bates next semester. QH's going to ST Life, Tiff will be miles and miles away in Shanghai (NOT China), Vanny's working in a production house, Adel's going to be in Trimedia... and the list goes on. Not to mention, my D's off to serve the country.
Yes, we really
are moving on.
"Well is this why you cling to every little thing
And polverize and derrange all your senses
Maybe life is a song but you're scared to sing along
Until the very ending" The problem with us, is that we forget.
We forget old friends, old places, old possessions, old memories. We forget to tell them we love them, we forget to treasure our health, we forget to care.
The ache of your jaw from laughing too hard. The faint smell of Clinique Happy on his shirt when you buried your face in his chest. The Valentine's Day surprise gifts we passed around. Moments, little defining moments when you knew. Smiling when you remembered.
"Oh, it's time to let go of everything we used to know..."
I won't say goodbye, but rather... "see you soon".
"Always forget how strange it is just to be alive at all."
